CEO West Bengal: West Bengal Old Voter List Download – Overview

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll will begin in August 2025. During this important exercise, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit every home to verify voter information and collect required documents.

If your name is already enrolled in the voter list, or if you were born between July 1, 1987 and January 1, 2002 (or later), you must provide your parents’ documents along with the page containing your name from the 2002 SIR list. Individuals born before July 1, 1987 need to submit only their own valid identity document. Acceptable Documents for Voter ID / Proof of Identity

• Any government/PSU employee identity card or pension payment order
• Any identity certificate/document issued in India by government/local authorities, banks, post office, LIC, or PSUs prior to July 1, 1987
• Birth Certificate issued by competent authority
• Passport
• Matriculation / Educational Certificate from recognized boards or universities
• Permanent Residence Certificate issued by competent state authority
• Forest Right Certificate
• OBC/SC/ST or caste certificate from competent authority
• National Register of Citizens (NRC) document, where applicable
• Family Register prepared by state/local authorities
• Land or House Allotment Certificate issued by government

Rules Based on Date of Birth – 3 Categories

• Born before July 1, 1987: Submit any one valid identity document.
• Born between July 1, 1987 and January 1, 2002: Must submit parent’s document; alternatively, if parent’s name appears in the 2002 voter list, that page suffices.
• Born after January 1, 2002: Must submit documents for yourself and both parents; alternatively, a copy of the 2002 voter list showing parent’s name is accepted.
